C.H. Wood was an early pioneer of aerial photography. Flying from nearby Yeadon Aerodrome (later Leeds-Bradford Airport), for over seventy years his company recorded the changing urban and rural northern landscapes from the air. Concentrating on Bradford and surrounding areas, the archive covers the north of England. From Holyhead in the west to Hull in the east, the collection includes views of the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, parts of Scotland and the region’s major towns and cities.
