Established in the 1860's, Daniel Illingworth became part of Illingworth, Morris PLC. The spinning mill on Thornton Road, Bradford employed just over 300 people in the production of yarn for the worsted industry and, whilst there was a small recombing plant, the main activities were drawing, spinning, twisting and winding.
