Watir Ali was a member of the Bangladeshi community in Bradford. he lived with his family near the Studio on Lupton Street until 1999, when they moved closer to the city centre.
He came to Bradford in 1963 and was joined by his wife and 2 sisters in 1986. Mr Ali worked in the textile trade and had a number of jobs in the textile mills in Bradford, until he retired in the 1990s.
