Olga Kuzio

Olga Kuzio, a member of Bradford's Ukrainian community. School photograph to commemorate starting secondary school at St Joseph's College, Manningham in 1967. St Joseph’s is a Catholic school in Manningham, which was a popular school for Bradford Ukrainian girls, along with St Bede’s, the boys’ equivalent.

Ms Kuzio lived in Manningham with her parents who came to Bradford in 1947 from Ukraine via Germany after the 2nd World War.

One of approximately 17,000 images held within our archive from Manningham’s Belle Vue Studio, dating from the 1950s to the 1970s. The studio was famous for photographing people from various community groups across the UK, including immigrant groups that moved to Bradford from the early 1900s until the studio closed.
