Harold Newell was the son of Joseph Newell of Pudsey was born at Pudsey January 3rd 1866. Educated at the Bradford Grammar School and at the University of Durham and obtained [?] B.A. B. G. L. Called to the bar at the Middle Temple 1895. A member of the N. E circuit and West Riding sessions 1896. Appointed a judge of County Courts in Circuit 19 in 1920.
