He was brought up in the textile business and came to England in 1837 staying in Manchester for a year. He then came to Bradford as manager to the form Messrs Kessler & Co and after some time commenced on his account as a cotton warp agent. Mr Muller concerned himself actively in the affair of the town of his adoption in educational and philosophic work. The late Right Hon. W. E. He was on the Committee of the Bradford High School in Hallfield Road; this was prior to the remodelling of the Grammar School on its present basis. His connection with the Volunteers remains to be ? The movement in 1859 was one into which Mr Muller threw himself with enthusiasm. He was one of the 5 gentlemen who addressed a letter to the then Mayor of Bradford (Mr Isaac Wright) asking him to call a public meeting to consider advisability of forming a local Volunteer Corps. He formed the Bradford rifles as a private and after rising through all the grades retired in 1882 with the rank of mayor. He died in 1892 at the age of 77. Colonel Geo H.
