Alfred Benney is the popular head master of Drummond Road School. In his spare time he has delivered 2000 lectures. His lectures have been freely & generously given to public & private bodies of all descriptions. His special advocacy of nature teaching has resulted in a greater interest being taken in natural history subjects both by young people and adults, largely owing to his efforts also, the City Council has been induced to lay out nearly 400 allotments for working men.
