"Dr Rabagliati was born at Edinburgh in 1843 his father Captain Rabagliati was a political refugee who was compelled to leave his country in 1821, when he became a teacher of his native language, first in Edinburgh and after in Dublin and London with great success.
Dr Rabagliati came to Bradford in 1869 with a view to entering into partnership with the late Dr Leeson. The House Surgeoncy, however of Bradford Royal Infirmary falling vacant. Dr Rabagliati applied for and obtained the appointment. After remaining there for over two years he resigned to begin practice on his own account in 1872.
In 1877 he was appointed honorary surgeon to the Bradford Royal Infirmary and about the same time assistant surgeon to the Bradford Eye and Ear Hospital, resigning the latter post after three years. He has however retained his connection with the Infirmary up to the present time, vacating the honorary surgeoncy in 1892 for the post of honorary gynaecologist, which position he still holds.

He is also a consultant surgeon to the Bingley Hospital and senior physician to the Actors’ Association.
Dr Rabagliati has been a voluminous writer and has published a number of medical works, one of the first being one on the “Classification & Nomenclature of Diseases” and in addition a book entitled “Air, Food & Exercises” which was a great success.
