Sowden's note in notebooks -
'Mr Reixach was born in Barcelona in 1841 and was educated there. He was apprenticed to his father, a velvet manufacturer. Mr Reixach went thro all the various processes in the trade. Mr Reixach came over from Spain in 1887 to Lister & Co of Manningham Mills to start power velvet weaving, face to face, and has been the head of this department for nearly half a century. Lord Masham in his book of inventions, says that Mr Reixach alone could claim to be `King Plush' for it was largely owing to his skill and ability that Manningham Mills became so celebrated. Mr Reixach married in 1876 Miss Gant, the daughter of Mr G S Gant, Solicitor of Bradford and has issue one son and one daughter. He died in 1915 at Richmond in Surrey.'
