Research - would walk around Bradford city centre trying to sell his bar of salt but it was a ploy for begging. Once arrested and found to have 15 shillings. suggests that Salt Jim died in Bradford Workhouse (Little Horton Lane) on 24 September 1911. Discovered to have £200 in a bank account after he died.
