Hunter Thomas

Portrait of Thomas Hunter, Tailor, age 76. Born in a small village near York. He had an accident which stopped him from fulfilling his business commitments. He died in 1892 aged 81.

Sowden's notes in notebook -
'Was a very familiar tradesman in Kirkgate. He was not a native of Bradford but when a boy came here to try his fortune from a small village near York. He was a man of great energy and for a long period carried on a successful trade as a clothier and outfitter. He also attended fairs and hirings. Unfortunately he had an accident which prevented him from continuing his business duties. He died in 1892 in his 81st year.'
