Yewdall, Henry

"In 1854 when the Third Equitable Building Society was established, Henry Yewdall then was a young solicitor, having commenced practice in 1852 and who had been associated with two previous Building Societies as director, auditor and secretary, was appointed solicitor to the society and continued in that position until he retired in 1890.

He was solicitor for the North Bierley Building Society. He was one of the promoters of the Second Equitable Building Society. He was returned to the Town Council for Manningham Ward in 1866 and except for two intervals of one year each continued to represent that Ward until 1887.

He died in 1892."
