Sowden's note in notebooks -
'Mrs Moser was born in Manchester where she lived before her marriage. She came to Bradford after marriage in 1875 to live at 10 Oak Villas and has lived in this same home ever since. Mrs Moser has always been an active and busy worker in many ways. She sat on the Bradford Board of Guardians for nine years and did good work as regards the treatment of women and children. The Bradford City Guild of Help owes much to her sympathy and practical help. Mrs Moser is one of the moving spirits of the Bradford branch of the National Union of Women Workers. Mrs Moser founded `The Nest' for babies, 31 years ago, an institution which was kept entirely for children whose mothers were compelled to go out to work daily. It was handed over to the Cinderella Club, but for want of public support had to be closed. What used to be `The Nest' in Wynne Street, Westgate, is the Young Folks' Club, the only one of its kind in Bradford. The Club is well looked after by Mrs Moser & is doing splendid work amongst the factory girls. The Education Authority provide teachers for dressmaking & cookery lessons foe a mothers' class. A Holiday Home was opened for working women and girls who are members of the Club. A house was taken at Burnsall and the organisers hope to help them to enjoy a healthy country holiday. The members of the Club save one third of the cost of the outing, but the contributions don't meet all expenses. Mrs Moser was a great helpmeet whilst Mr Moser was Lord Mayor and discharged the duties with great ability.'
