In 1873 she was engaged as organist at Richmond Terrace Chapel and for 23 years occupied that position. For upwards of 15 years a member of the Bfd Choral Society. In 1854 she was appointed assistant librarian at the Bradford Library & Literary Society. On the retirement of Miss Mason in 1881 Miss Rhodes was promoted to the post of Chief Librarian & which position she still occupies. On the completion of 50 years service at the Library the Committee & subscribers presented her with a cheque for £327 in connection with her jubilee year.
