Transcription
Exterior photograph of a group standing next to a small, recently planted tree. Ceremonial, reason unknown. The gentleman on the far right front row, holding a top hat, is Titus Salt Junior. The central women and gentleman on the far left are Princess Beatrice and Prince Henry of Battenberg during their royal visit to Milner Field, when they opened the Jubilee Exhibition and Exhibition Building, now part of Shipley College, in May 1887. The two soldiers and remaining woman are unknown. One of a series of glass negative images showing activities and members of the Salt Family. Some duplicates, some small file size, larger scan needed.
