Eastbrook House
Drawing of Eastbrook House, Bradford. Bradford Parish Church tower is visible on the left of the image. One of a series of glass lantern slides showing old halls and other Bradford buildings.

For much of the 18th century the area now known as Little Germany was pasture land with a few cottages and was owned by the Vicar of Bradford. Eastbrook House was built by Edmund Peckover, who purchased the land towards the end of the 18th Century. Peckover was close friends with John Hustler and both were hugely influential in the growth and development of Bradford. The estate consisted of an orchard garden and 20 acre meadow.
