Layton Hall, Rawdon
Image of the rear of the Hall. The Hall is believed to date to the late 16th Century. It was the family seat of the Layton family. Prior to that it was occupied by the Rawden family. Anne Rawden married Stephen Paslew, the son of Francis Paslew of East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley. Stephen Paslew purchased the Rawden lands, but committed suicide in 1579 and the estate passed to his nephew Robert Oglethorpe who then sold the property to Francis Layton in the early 17th century. The Hall is a grade II listed building. One of a series of glass lantern slides showing halls and other Bradford buildings
