Hospital Appointment
“Today I had to go to the hospital for an appointment. As we walked up to the hospital the first thing I noticed was a bold stop sign which said ‘no visiting’ in big writing. We weren’t allowed in the building until we showed my appointment letter. There were signs all over about corona virus, including one that said no relatives were allowed in the waiting room or in the appointment. It felt sad that people had to wait for potentially bad news on their own (I was allowed my mum with me because of my age). Because of social distancing there was tape on the floor with signs showing where you had to stand. All the nurses and doctors were wearing masks and goggles on their faces and a plastic apron - it felt very odd. When we were waking back to the car we saw that someone had painted on the road a message outside the hospital saying ‘thankyou NHS - stay safe Bradford.’ We agreed. The whole experience felt very strange and eerie. “ Lara age 13
