Transcription
This is a photographic print commemorating Kellingley Colliery. It marks the history of the colliery from 1965-2015 and states that "Our black gold will always shine". The picture in the middle is a negative photo of a miner. The closure of Kellingley Colliery on the 18th December 2015 marked the closure of the last deep coal mine in Britain. It is likely, but not confirmed, that this was made in commemoration. This print was taken by photographer Ian Beesley.
