Transcription
This is a black and white photographic print of a contact sheet showing pictures of colliery workers. It shows some men in high-visibility clothing and hard hats consulting maps above ground as well as otherpeople in bulky breathing apparatus. These are underground. It seems like they are training and practicing a rescue operation where they bring an injured miner out in a stretcher. It consists of images of Ilford HP5 PLUS film. There are 37 frames of pictures. Several of the frames are asterisked in pen. The print is also embossed as Limited Edition by photographer Ian Beesley.
