Close up of a portion of a sari, silk tissue, hand painted and printed silk tissue, gold with multi coloured links and dyes in bronze, gold, terracotta and base shades on gold background. Design is influenced by phulkaris and baghs (?) but with the artists own stamp clearly viable. The edges have a dense pattern of multi coloured triangles and circles. The pallav (end piece) has geometric pattern within parallel lines. The inner border also contains a geometric pattern. The sari has been signed and dated by the artist Sarbit Natt.
