Scan of a blank postcard (no writing on the back). Photograph of the Bradford Pals, thought to be of their march from Skipton to Ripon during World War One.
1 of 15 black and white postcards. This one shows soldiers marching in rows and columns with guns resting on their soldiers. As they are walking by the camera they have turned their heads and looking at it. There is grass in the foreground and trees behind them.
Part of the Lawrence Townend collection. Lawrence Townend was private 1232, 18th West Yorkshire regiment, he was taken prisoner of war on July 27th 1916. Sent to the Schneidemuhl prisoner of war camp in Germany. Returned home December 2nd 1918.
