This is a black and white photographic print of two miners below ground at Hay Royds Colliery. The men are wearing hard hats with miner's headlamps on them. One of the men's faces is illuminated by the lamp of the other. This image was taken by photographer Ian Beesley and features in his book 'The Drift' on page 73.
