This is a matt landscape photographic print of two colliery winding towers with rubble in the foreground. Printed on the front is a poem by Ian McMillan called Closure. Within the poem it talks of Big K's closing, which is Kellingley Colliery, North Yorkshire, which closed on 18 December 2015. The poem is also printed on page 148 of Ian Beesley's 'Life: A Retrospective'. This print was taken by photographer Ian Beesley.
The two towers are the same ones depicted in H.2024.4.45.1, but the picture of them is slightly different.
