Black and white low gloss photographic print of miners at Hayroyds Colliery taken on the 28th November 2008. This print is taken by photographer Ian Beesley and be found in his book 'The Drift' on p101. The picture shows a group of eight men standing in the colliery with large mining equipment behind them. They are wearing hard hats with lamps on, work boots and high visibility jackets. Their clothes look dirty - having worked their shift. Their job titles were: Pit Blacksmith, Pit Deputy, Face Workers, Pit Electrician, and Pit Manager. Their names are Andy Burkinshaw, Dave Cook, Tom Cook, Gareth Rimmington, Martin Senior, Joseph Flack, Steve Fewkes and John Taylor.
