This is a glossy black and white landscape photographic print of two miners underground at Hay Royds Colliery. The miners are off-centered and the frame is only illuminated by their headlamps. Everything else is shrouded in darkness. The miner in front seems to have something in his hands, possibly some food or a tool he's working with. This print was taken by photographer Ian Beesley and can be found in his book 'The Drift' on page 73.
