This is a black and white landscape photographic print of a miner standing at the pit top of Hay Royds Colliery. He regards the camera with a neutral expression while wearing a scruffy shirt and a miners headlamp. Large, possibly sealed bags of tarmac and limestone dust are piled up behind him. This photograph was taken by photographer Ian Beesley and features in his book 'The Drift' on p108. The miner is credited as being called Connor Goodison.
