This is a glossy black and white landscape photographic print of machinery viewed from a walkway at Hay Royds Colliery. A towering corkscrew shaped machine and several walkways can be seen. A miner stands behind a railing watching over it. The landscape in the background rises upwards before reaching a densely packed woodland. This image was taken by photographer Ian Beesley in November 2007. It is signed and has the caption: "Look at me now, two days ago I was on a cruise ship coming back from New York, having a fantastic meal, the people I was sat with wouldn't believe I was the same bloke!"
