This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray Beeston Leeds 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

The picture depicts a man viewed through a window to another room, who is wearing a lab coat, ID card and hair net and is regarding the camera with a grin. A shoe rack and fire extinguisher can be seen through the window. There is a light switch and label in the same room as Beesley, though the label is not legible.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements.
