This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray Beeston Leeds 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

The picture depicts a large room with two men stood at opposite ends of a table. They are wearing protective gear like masks, hair nets and lab coats. There is a trolley at one end of the table they are working at with the label 'items awaiting packing'. The reverse of a computer and (presumably) connected monitor occupies the foreground.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements.
