This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray Beeston Leeds 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

This image depicts a shoe rack as the main focus, roughly half filled with shoes. They seem colour coded into white shoes and black shoes (though there aren't many black shoes so this could be conjecture) and there are labels on the back of some of the white shoes, possibly indicating ownership. A sink, bottle of soap, mirror and hand dryer can be seen, and a fire extinguisher half cut out of frame can be seen too. It is possible that this is the same room depicted in H.2025.11.2.14.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements.
