This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray Beeston Leeds 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

This image depicts a man wearing a DePuy uniform and ID card. His eyes are either closed or cast down towards his desk. An adjustable lamp covers part of his chest while emitting light for the desk below. The desk he is working at is left out of the frame of the camera. The machine in the background is labelled 'MILL-0014' and 'VM40' and has warnings mandating the use of ear protection. The man appears to be the same one as depicted in H.2025.11.3.23 and H.2025.11.3.25-26.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements.
