This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray Beeston Leeds 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

This image depicts a man wearing a DePuy uniform and an ID card. He regards something out of the frame of the image with a grin. An adjustable lamp covers part of his stomach, and you can see that it is emitting light. The desk where the man is working is mostly cut out by the bottom of the frame. A large machine with many buttons and dials can be seen behind him. The man appears to be the same depicted in H.2025.11.3.24-26.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements.
