This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray Beeston Leeds 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

This image depicts a man wearing a DePuy uniform and ID badge, the same man as the one depicted in H.2025.11.3.23-25. His gaze is focused on a hand moving in from outside the frame, either handing him an object or simply grabbing his hand.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements.
