This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder in which they are stored reads 'De Puy, Thackray, Beeston, Leeds, 5th August 2011', possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

This image depicts a man wearing a DePuy uniform waving whilst looking out of frame. He is sat at a desk with a computer and some kind of scanner on the computer unit. DePuy's motto/slogan "Never stop moving" can be read on the wall outside the office.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company who moved production to China.
