This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. A label on the back of the folder reads ' DePuy, Thackray. Beeston. Leeds. 5th/12th August 2011, possibly referring to the DePuy Sythes R&D centre in Beeston.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company who moved production to China.

This slightly blurry image depicts two in in DePuy uniforms (one of whom is wearing glasses). They are in front of a shelf unit of some kind - one man is shuffling through the contents while another points at one he wants from a distance. It is difficult to tell what is exactly on the shelves, but it is definitely paper of some kind. A waste bin and machinery can be seen in the background.
