This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a person wearing a black DePuy uniform using a Quadra-chek 100 machine, which is used to take accurate measurements, to measure an internal design plan. The picture is taken from behind, capturing the back of the persons head. The interface on the left of the picture displays an x coordinate of -0.8535 and a y coordinate of -1.7023.
