This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a shiny metallic circular object suspended from a ceiling, which Beesley has used the reflection of to take a picture of his surroundings. One can see a trolley and plinth behind him, a person in a DePuy uniform walking close by and a path painted onto the floor. One can see Beesley in the center of the image pointing his camera straight upwards. There is a stain of some kind in the bottom left corner of the frame.
