This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley.

This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image shows employees in DePuy uniforms in a cafeteria area. One man is facing towards the camera holding paperwork in his right hand and is wearing safety goggles pushed to the top of his head. Another man to the right of the frame is holding paperwork and standing up from a chair. There are more employees (obscured from view) towards the wall which has a clock on it.
