This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts four men in a room gathered around a table. One of them is wearing a black DePuy uniform, another is wearing a brighter shirt and a third one is wearing glasses. Most of the third man and all of the fourth sans the back of their head is obscured by the person in front. One of the men is holding a pen, so perhaps they are all gathered around a form of some kind. There are other tables in frame, but theirs is the only one occupied. One can see a monitor on the wall, the rooms fire exit and a standee in the corner presenting information on being safe at height.
