This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image shows four men standing in a room, three of them around a table toward the background, the fourth away from the others and closer to the foreground. Two of them are wearing black DePuy uniforms, the third is wearing a brighter shirt and the fourth seems to be wearing something resembling a coat and scarves. The latter person is also writing on a sheet on some kind. There are many other chairs in the room but they all stand unoccupied. One can also see the rooms fire exit and a monitor on the back wall.
