This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.
This image shows two people conversing in a room. One of them is sat down in a chair, the other is obscured by some kind of object stuck on the wall, possibly a paper towel dispenser? A vending machine filled with snacks frames one side of the image and part of the wall of the room frames the other. One can see a mostly empty pinboard and a shelf with books in the background.
