This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a man wearing glasses, a DePuy uniform and an ID badge holding a tool with both of his hands. He is looking towards the camera with the tool being the main focus, suggesting that he is showing it to Beesley for him to take. The tool is pointed and has a handle like a screwdriver, but lacks an obvious tip to move screws with.
