This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts two men in a room with their backs to the camera. Both are wearing DePuy uniforms and glasses, one of them has a pair of ear defenders lifted over his ears. They are in front of a shelving unit carrying boxes with documents hanging out of them. A large machine or object can be seen in the distance.
