This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

two men with DePuy uniforms and some form of eye protection (glasses for one, goggles for another) standing at a distance apart in the middle of a room full of machinery. There is the Quadra-chek machine in the background and another machine labeled 'Crysta', alongside 2-3 other machines that are also present in the room.
