This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image shows a view of a large room through a window from another room. The room is vast, containing many different machines that seem to blend together. The view is framed both by the window frames but also by a large machine pipe right in front of the window.

This image is almost identical to H.2025.11.36.1A but differs in that it features a single man working in the middle of the machines, wearing glasses, ear protection and a black DePuy uniform.
