This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image shows a man wearing glasses, ear defenders and the DePuy uniform using a machine. Other pictures featuring this man on this negative strip show him using a Wet Blast Processing Unit. The image uses a zoomed out side profile which shows the man using the machine and looking at the interior using the window. It also shows the side of the machine with some papers taped to the sides, though the writing on them is difficult to make out.

This image is similar to H.2025.11.39.15A, but the area below the mans stomach has been cut out. I don't think the camera has panned upwards as much as its moved from vertical to horizontal.
