This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image shows a worker wearing the DePuy uniform, a pair of glasses and an ID badge. He is holding some kind of powder or dust in his hands, possibly a material used for something or the waste product of a process. This image is similar to H.2025.11.40.19A but the camera has panned upwards, showing the workers face and obscuring their torso.
