This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a man wearing the DePuy, uniform, glasses and ear defenders. He is blurry, capturing in the middle of moving from one side of the frame to the other. There is a large machine and control panel behind him, though it could also be two machines. The large machine seems to be called the Super Product(ive)
Turning Center, though that assumes the man hasn't cut off the rest of the text. Warning and caution labels can be seen to the left of a window. The control panel next to it has many dials and buttons, a monitor of its own, a possible serial number of 045002305 and a stuck on label reading 'Have you switched off? Think. Save money and energy. Climate care'.
