This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.
This image shows two pieces of paper stuck to a wall, listing many qualifications and training courses that were planned or available for staff. They depict the general area (such as plumbing, carpentry, kitchen fitting etc.), the time taken, the specific level of skill that the course aimed for and the awarding body (Either City and Guilds or Educational Development International Qualifications). The title of the documents are cutting off by the object securing them to the wall, but they might say 'YTA TRAINING - Specia[list Course] Price List for DePuy. One of the papers is folded, obscuring much of the text.
